First Day of School

Morgen is all set!

Fourth Baptist Christian School

Teacher, Mrs. Jessica Shevy

Today, Morgen started her first day of K-4.  She was so excited!  She loved picking out her back pack, lunch box, and folders.  When I said good-bye I was getting a little teary eyed, but she just said, "Bye" with a big smile!  I think she will do great!  She is definitely a people person and should adapt well.  Hopefully she doesn't talk too much!  I can't wait to hear how the first day went!  Will she nap?  What she really eats for lunch?  What was her favorite part?  If she falls asleep on the way home?

Summer Fun!

Our little "Sea Monster"

Morgen and Carsten pausing for a snack.

Morgen

Carsten

We went to the Maple Grove Community Center last Friday on Eric's day off!  It was fun, although I wish we could have found someone to watch Ethan so Eric and I could have taken both the kids in at the same time.  Maybe next time...

Cake Decorating 101

Morgen and her friend, Erin, made Zoo cakes today and decorated them.  First they painted the animal crackers with egg yolk that had food coloring in it.  Then they frosted the cake and then decorated with Fruit Slices, gum drops, and the animal crackers!  Whoo!  Major sugar high coming on tonight after supper!

Thanks Aunt Meg for the cookbook with the idea in it.  Of course Morgen picked out the one with all the candy on it!  : )

Saturday evening

We took the kids to Beebe Lake for a picnic supper and time in the lake to sail their new boats.  Carsten's boat became a speed boat submarine much of the time with sound effects too.

Saturday Art

Saturday morning after breakfast became art time.  Everyone made a flower on a paper plate and put their name on it with foam stickers!  We even got Eric to do it!  See below...
Now we know where Morgen gets her goofiness!
