Mixed Emotions...

February 19, 2010. The last morning in our Hanover house. We moved our stuff into our new home the night before and after only 3 hours sleep, packed the rest of the stuff into our truck and headed to Plymouth. We still haven't closed on our new home, because the bank has been taking forever. It's been hard to get too excited(even though we want to be) about our new home until we own it. We are renting it until we close. Wow! What an ordeal to say the least. I can't wait until it's over. Pictures to come of the new place when I can call it ours!

Boo-boos

Not like packing up our house to move is enough. Ethan broke his arm driving his firetruck off 3 steps. Morgen gashed her head open on the kitchen island and got 4 stitches. It has been an adventure around here lately.

Carsten is 4!

I LOVE THIS SMILE!!!!
Wow! How exciting! I feel like I'm seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. I have a almost 6 year old, 4 year old and almost 2 year old! I can't believe Carsten is 4. These are tough years when they're little, but it's fun to see them grow and mature.

God is omniscient

Ok, so don't laugh at this painting, but this was part of a project I did my sophomore year in college for a art education class I took. I just found it as I was packing. At first, I didn't think anything of it, and then I just looked again and couldn't believe it. It resembles Morgen. Wow! Isn't God awesome! It's the little things I know. In the bottom right hand corner it says, "Flaming 1993"
Wow! 16 years later--only God knew.

10th Street NE

Our beautiful home. I think I'm going to cry as I type this. This is our last Christmas in this home. We've been here 8 years December 20. On December 24 we sold the house and are planning to move closer to church, school, and work(after closing Feb 26. 2010). We are excited, but I'm a bit nervous because we have so many good memories here. We took a picture in front of our tree 8 years ago right after moving in on Dec. 20. I may just have to go back and find some of those early pics to post. We'll see.

Snickers

f
This is Snickers who came to live with us many years ago before we had kids. After child number 2 came along, I decided I couldn't handle 3 "toddlers" He was a very needy, clingy dog and Grandma and Grandpa Markgraf agreed to adopt him. We've enjoyed seeing him mellow out and I enjoyed seeing Morgen snuggling with him over Thanksgiving. I feel bad that the kids don't have a dog, but I don't feel bad that we don't have the responsibility.

My latest...

Crocheting

I am trying to learn to crochet. My neighbor, Melissa is my teacher! :) She's a great teacher, but I'm a slow learner. It's so hard to be consistent in my stitches. Let me tell you, this picture makes it look better than it really does. : ) Since then, I've attempted one for me too. So far, I guess my motto is "just don't look too close".
