Morgen

Morgen has a new violin teacher because Mrs. Levy moved away.  Lauri is a great teacher and they just had their first recital in the beginning of June.  Morgen played "Come Thou Fount" with a Celtic flare.  Grandma Flaming made her beautiful dress.

It's been a long time since I have updated my blog...so here is my deck today!  Stained our chairs and table because they were getting worn.  Had to take down my summer deck/patio lights because the association won't allow it.  I'm trying not to be bitter.

Maybe I'll get some more blog updates done???

Celebrating and Thanking God for 11 Years with Eric!

God is good! I'm so thankful God gave me a friend to share life with. I pray for many more years to come.

Celebrating 10 years

Minnesota and snow

Yesterday the kids went out to play on a snow hill that is taking up the visitor's parking spaces across from our home. Today the entire hill is GONE. They came in the middle of the night and removed it(didn't get any sleep from 1:30-3:30a.m). It's been there for almost 2 weeks. Not sure why it took this long to get rid of it. Glad they got to go on it though before it disappeared. I was starting to feel a bit claustrophobic with it there. It's so open and spacious now. I'll have to take another picture of it now.

End of summer Tea Party

Three lovely ladies from church came over for lunch and tea with me and Morgen. We had a wonderful visit. The boys enjoyed their lunch on the little table in the kitchen. I would have put them with us at the table but they also had their friend over. We enjoyed delicious homemade cinnamon chip scones after we had beautiful butterfly shaped sandwiches.

Morgen got to go to Art Class last week everyday for 4 hours! She loved it!

Housewarming Party

Tonight we hosted a housewarming party. It was fun prepping and then entertaining. Morgen and Carsten enjoyed showing their teachers their bedrooms. They were great tour guides. Plenty of food, so it was nice to put some in the freezer for another time. I guess we'll just have to have more company.

Moving on with life...

Here is my new dining room! Slowly, but surely, I'm getting our new home set up. I'll be posting pics as the rooms get done. I plan to put a different clock in here, but this works for now. I also will be getting rid of the red. At least on the wall of the fireplace. It just doesn't look right. I like to accent in red, so it the walls are too much.

Mixed Emotions...

February 19, 2010. The last morning in our Hanover house. We moved our stuff into our new home the night before and after only 3 hours sleep, packed the rest of the stuff into our truck and headed to Plymouth. We still haven't closed on our new home, because the bank has been taking forever. It's been hard to get too excited(even though we want to be) about our new home until we own it. We are renting it until we close. Wow! What an ordeal to say the least. I can't wait until it's over. Pictures to come of the new place when I can call it ours!
